Alice Cooper’s Theatre of Death Tour in Las Vegas
Alice Cooper’s freak show is coming to Las Vegas for three nights on Oct. 23, 24 and 25. The Theatre of Death tour will feature all of Cooper’s usual macabre props to ensure his show is as over-the-top as ever including a guillotine, boa constrictors (PETA is going to have a field day with that little tidbit), electric chairs and fake blood. (The show’s promotional press release didn’t state what or who would be electrocuted and/or beheaded, so audience members should beware.) Brian Setzer Christmas Show at Hard Rock Las Vegas
Nothing says the holidays are here like Christmas songs performed with a rockabilly twist and big band backup. The Brian Setzer Orchestra will be presenting its Christmas Rocks! extravaganza at The Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Wednesday, December 23 at 8 p.m. Setzer and his 18-piece big band will perform all the Christmas classics from his “Christmas Rocks!†CD with a swing, rockabilly twist. Given that this swingin’ cat has had a 30-year music career, including three Grammy awards, Setzer most likely be performing some of his fans’ favorites that made said awards possible. Hooter’s Las Vegas Casino Hosts Flip Cup Tournament
According to Wikipedia, the definition of “flip cup†is a relay drinking game that originated on college campuses. Well, this constructive pastime has grown in popularity so much that not only has an association been created, but a tournament as well. Sixty-four flip cup teams from across the United States will descend on Las Vegas for the World’s Largest Flip Cup Tournament (WLFCT) at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 11.
