The celebration of Mexican heritage and pride, Cinco de Mayo (5th of May), is right around the corner. If you are in Las Vegas on that day you will want to know where the festivities will be. Border Grill – Mandalay Bay
This modern Mexican restaurant is the creation of Chefs Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger, Food Network’s “Too Hot Tamalesâ€. The popular Diablo’s Mexican Cantina is located in front of Monte Carlo. This party atmosphere restaurant serves Mexican food with an American twist. The location is ideal for either sipping a margarita while Strip-people-watching or a fun filled evening that you may regret in the morning. Diablo will be celebrating Cinco de Mayo all day and night long. Not all of the details for the event have been released, but here is a sneak preview of what’s to come:

Diego – MGM Grand
Executive Chef Noel Santos offers a bold menu of very traditional recipes while adding a new twist. Enjoy the unique Guacamole de Lujo, tableside guacamole service. For Cinco de Mayo, Diego is offering a special 4-course complete tasting menu at $49 per person. If you’re not up to a 4-course meal, these items may be ordered individually.

Dos Caminos – The Palazzo
Dos Caminos Las Vegas is the fourth of it kind to open, with the original based New York city. Dos Caminos offers authentic, yet unique Mexican cuisine. They provide the much loved dishes like guacamole, empanadas and tacos but also have created specialty dishes for the Las Vegas location only. Dos Caminos will have a repeat performance with an over-the-top party (pdf) to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. The party will kickoff at 11:00am until the wee hours the next day. The festivities will includes:
• A surprise celebrity will be host and master of ceremonies for the evening’s events
• Mariachi will start at noon
• Magicians, models, luchadores and DJ Lezlee will provide entertainment

Gonzalez Y Gonzalez is a casual, upbeat dining experience with a fun outdoor patio feel. The menu is has a Southwestern fare including a variety of fajitas, tacos and other favorites.
