The Academy of Country Music Awards (ACMAs) is all about consistency. Not only is film, television and music diva Reba McEntire hosting it for the 12th time, this is the fifth consecutive year that it will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. McEntire has won 12 awards from the academy and this year she will be given the Home Depot Humanitarian Award for her outstanding philanthropic work. In its 45th year, the ACMAs recognizes the hottest talent in country music today, including those who’ve been around for a few decades. Brooks & Dunn—the duo responsible for such hit albums as Cowboy Town and Steers and Stripes—will be receiving the academy’s Milestone Award for their 20-year career in the industry. They also will play a tribute concert the day after the award show. Country artists scheduled to perform at the award show include Kenny Chesney, Reba McEntire, Rascal Flatts, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban.
Ticket prices are $150 and $350 and can be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com.
