Bill Cosby is back on the comedy circuit and will be appearing for one night only at Treasure Island Theatre on November 27. Starting as a stand-up comedian, Cosby’s career sky-rocketed with his hit television series, “The Cosby Show†that ran from 1984-1992. It was rated the No. 1 sitcom and earned six Emmy awards, three Golden Globe awards and 10 People’s Choice awards. Cosby’s career has been lengthy and illustrious—a testament to that fact is the five Grammy awards he earned for best comedy album. Cosby has been compared with some of the greatest comedic acts in history including Charlie Chaplin, Will Rogers, W.C. Fields and Groucho Marx. He also is the author of the book “Fatherhood,†which remained at No. 1 on the New York Times Best Seller List for 54 weeks.
Tickets for Cosby’s show are $79 plus tax and service charges and can be purchased at Treasure Island’s Web Site. Show times are at 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.
