Ethel M Chocolate Factory Tour and Botanical Cactus Garden

Have you ever taken a bite of a Milky Way bar and wondered how this sweet chocolate goodness was made? Well, now you can find out. Ethel M Chocolate Factory offers a free brief self-guided tour of the facilities. Along with Milky Way bars, the factory produces other sweet favorites like M&M’s, Mars Bars and chocolates from Ethel M. Collections.

From behind glass, visitors are able to see chocolate artists produce the sweet temptations through a process of melting, mixing, dipping, molding and rolling. Learn about the many steps of chocolate and candy making via displays and TV monitors. The end of your tour will lead you to the Chocolate Lounge where you will be supplied with a sampling of Ethel M chocolate. You will also have the opportunity to purchase from the several Ethel M Collections.

Although Ethel M Chocolate Factory is open every day, the best time to go to is during the week. The factory usually operates Monday - Thursday. The best tour experience is when the chocolate line is running. Please note that they cannot guarantee that the machinery will be operating when you arrive, but you will always be able to see into the factory, learn about the chocolate making and taste the final product. Ethel M Chocolate Factory is located in Henderson, about a 15 minute drive from the Strip.

After the tour, be sure to take a stroll through their beautiful Botanical Cactus Garden. Over 300 species of plants can be found on the 15,000 cubic yards of garden. This collection is Nevada’s largest and one of the world’s largest assembly of cacti and succulents. Many plants are labeled with names and basic information. The collection is a great learning experience for both adults and children alike. During the holidays, the festive lights and decorations are a must-see.
